Synopsis
Dubbed "one of the weirdest books you'll ever read", Aghora is written by Robert E. Svoboda, who studied under an Aghori, someone who follows the Left Hand Path (or dark side) of Hindu Tantrism. Largely an account of his teacher, this book examines bizarre rituals and the purposes behind them, such as summoning spirits, necrophilia and other practices that most people shun. It also shows the Aghori's devotion to the Goddess Tara, and the path he takes to achieve spiritual union with her, and with the universe.
