Karim Raslan, Malaysia lawyer and journalist, compiles his collection of essays and newspaper articles in Ceritalah2. Discussing Southeast Asia, and what it means to be Southeaset Asian, Karim surveys the diversity of the region, as well as all the contradictions it seems to contain. Divided into sections entitled "Culture and Society", "People and Places", "Everyday Life", and "Art and Literature", this book displays a non-academic perspective of issues in Southeast Asia, from the point of view of someone who grew up here.
