The aim of this book is to afford information on the administration, organization and equipment of both services, so that those who wish may understand and follow with greater knowledge the doings of our Navy and Army in these momentous times.
It deals with the units on which the different branches of both services are built up; the different types of warships and their equipment; the various ranks, from Petty Officer to Admiral and from Corporal to Field-Marshal; Explosives and Ammunition, Rifles, Ordnane and weapons of the Arme Blanche. Comparison is also made with Continental organization and equipment.
