A Methodist missionary’s travels to India and Southeast Asia between the years 1897 and 1898, where he visits various Christian groups in the region and gives brief descriptions of each location. Most of the book is about India, including Bombay, Madras and the Himalayas, with the rest dedicated to Burma, Malaya (mostly Singapore), and general observations on flora, history and various other matters. One of the few 19th century publications to use the term “Malaysia” instead of “Malaya”.
