About the author (from jacket flap):

Chin Hoong Fong is an associate professor of the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, Universiti Pertanian Malaysia. He has been lecturing at the former College of Agriculture, now Universiti Pertanian, since 1961.

His interest in photography and gardening started during his secondary school days at the Methodist Boys’ School Kuala Lumpur. Since then he has contributed to a number of photographic exhibitions and taken part in the Malaysian Agricultural and Horticultural Association (MAHA) competitions. He won a number of awards for potplants, terraniums and miniature garden at the annual MAHA exhibition. Recently he has been appointed by the Vice-Chancellor to be chairman of the Campus Beautification Committee.
